Company owner Frederic Treheux is both a trade-qualified carpenter and an architect by profession. He established his business in 1999. His initial focus was on the setup of exhibition stands but he quickly assumed full responsibility for the Philips and BMW stands. At the same time, he also made a name for himself in the shop-fitting and furniture-making arenas in the Netherlands and France.

After completing his degree in architecture, Treheux managed to expand his company within a short period of time by also taking on planning and production services for exhibition stands. Subsequently, his range of key services grew to also encompass the specialty areas of furniture design and exhibition construction.

At the same time, Treheux also serves as the project manager for Berlin-based Gewers Kühn+Kühn Architekten for whom, among other things, he is currently supervising the construction of Fanuc Robotics’ headquarters in Paris, France.

In 2007, Frederic and Marlene Treheux founded Treheux Messebau GmbH, which realizes trade fair presentations Europe-wide for automobile manufacturers Peugeot and Renault, for France’s national, state-owned railway company “SNCF” and for the aircraft manufacturer Airbus, among others. The portfolio also encompasses various specialized trade fairs.

In 2011, Treheux Messebau GmbH moved into new offices in Berlin’s Charlottenburger Strasse 47 and expanded its storage capacity by means of an additional site in the State of Brandenburg.

On the occasion of the company’s 15th anniversary, Treheux Messebau chose the sea hare as its company logo. These animals belong to a species of the genus “marine gastropod mollusks” (Lat. Aplysia), which became known through the work of Eric Kandel (*1929), a neuropsychiatrist who carried out research on learning and memory on them. Kandel, who was awarded a Nobel Prize in 2000, describes these gastropods as “large, attractive and apparently very intelligent”.
